Worship FAQ's

It is our attempt here to answer some questions you may have regarding our expression of worshiping our Lord Jesus Christ.

Worship Service

Q: What are your Service Times and Where Do You Meet?

A: 10:30 am on Sunday mornings at the Thomas Jefferson Charter School in Caldwell.

Q: What is the music like?
A:
Our worship music is a theologically rich and spiritually passionate blend of hymns and spiritual songs played skillfully and with a variety of instruments. We rotate worship leaders on a regular basis, giving more men the opportunity to lead and utilize their God-given musical and leadership skills/gifts.

Q: How often is communion taken?
A:
Once a month on
the 3rd Sunday of each month.

  • The Elements are placed at a central location where the Heads of Households can go get them, rather than pass it down the aisles
  • Whoever is teaching is the one who prays and breaks the bread
  • Large Cups Available For Larger Families
  • Small Cups available for those families who want to partake individually or for Single Heads of Households

Q: What is the Open Mic?
A:
The Open Mic is a sharing time during the worship singing. A microphone stands at the front, giving people an opportunity to come forward to share.
Some basic ideas about that are:

  • It's not intended to be sermon #2, but is an opportunity for someone to give a word of knowledge, prayer or exhortation

  • Elders need to be able to affirm what is being said

  • Women are permitted to share during Open Mic time. For this, a study of 1 Timothy 2:8-15 and  1 Cor. 14:33b-35 is helpful. Upon the study of these texts, it is our conclusion that as long as they are under the authority of their husband/father, they are freely permitted to do so.

Shared Meal
Q: How often does Wellsprings eat lunch after the worship service?
A:
We attempt to share a meal as a family of families, following our service, at least twice a month. You will be able to see which Sunday we have a shared meal by looking at the calendar.

Q: Any suggestions as to how to best prepare for a Shared Meal?
A:
We encourage families to prepare a meal beforehand and simply bring it with them to the service. The best gauge is to prepare enough to feed your family plus a few more adults. This typically guarantees enough for all, including new visitors. We also encourage families to sit with another family, rather than spreading out separately.
